The Respiratory system goes through a system where oxygen enters the blood stream and Carbon Dioxide leaves the blood to enter the air.

The Respiratory system consists of these things:
  • Nose
  • Nasal cavity
  • Pharynx
  • Larynx
  • Trachea
  • Bronchi
  • Lungs

The Cardiovascular system transports oxygen from the lungs to the cells of the body and Carbon Dioxide from the cells of the body to the lungs.

The Cadiovascular system consists of these things:
  • The Heart
  • Blood vessels

The Respiratory system and Cardiovascular system are basic to life and breathing, without both functioning normally, you will die.

The Heart pumps oxygen into the blood and collects carbon dioxide from it to be expelled through the lungs.  The Respiratory and Cardiovascular systems work together to supply oxygen to the cells, to remove Carbon Dioxide, and to regulate the pH of the body fluids.
